On 8 April 2020, Frank van Zanten will become a member of Ahold Delhaize's board of directors. He will then replace Jacques de Vaucleroy, who is retiring.
The Dutchman is currently CEO of the British distribution and outsourcing company Bunzl, as well as director of the Irish construction group Grafton. The succession enters into force after the general meeting of shareholders on 8 April, the retailer announced in a press release.
"We are pleased to propose Frank for appointment to the Supervisory Board. He is a seasoned executive and will bring extensive international experience and expertise from a highly complex", chairman Jan Hommen said. We would also like to thank Jacques for his outstanding contributions over many years to Delhaize Group and, after the merger, to Ahold Delhaize. His extensive knowledge and passion for retail will be greatly missed. We wish him all the best for the future."
